Rose Auslander tagged me in The Next Big Thing, an ongoing network of interviews in which each writer with a book coming out tags another set of writers, so that we might all know what everyone’s up to lately. This is mine –
What is the working title of the book?
Where did the idea come from for the book?
Part of it came from a dream I had, part of it from a weird little story I heard about someone…
What genre does your book fall under?
What actors would you choose to play the part of your characters in a movie rendition?
Matthew Rhys, Kevin McKidd and Samantha Morton
What is the one sentence synopsis of your book?
Two men, one woman, desire, confusion, jealousy – disastrous outcome…plus it’s set in London and Blackpool, so very chic. But really, it’s about dreams and real lives intertwined and how the one affects the other. That’s two sentences – sorry.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of the manuscript?
About three months. It started as two separate stories and then became one.
Who or what inspired you to write this book?
Driving in London, an ex boyfriend, my own dreams, and a weird true story I heard about someone.
What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
It’s my first Chapbook and will be Folded Word’s first ever single story Chapbook
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
The Chapbook will be published by Folded Word.
